WIE Conference Facilitators Workshop

The facilitators for the Women in Economy Conference got together on 15 August 2018 at Ixora Hotel to test run the conference working sessions to ensure smooth, productive and meaningful sessions for our delegates.

Eko Kraf Komuniti Project

The craft making workshop project, Eko–Kraf Komuniti began  as an introductory workshop in March 2018, in conjunction with International Women’s Day. Since then, 4 classes were conducted to train interested participants in craft making using newspaper and tinfoil packing materials.
17 participants acquired the skills and completed the training in June and are now ready to market their products. YB Chong Eng, EXCO for Women and Family Development, Gender Inclusiveness and Non-Islamic Religion Affairs presented the certificates to all participants on 8 July 2018 in a simple ceremony to mark this important milestone.

Press Conference To Announce Women In Economy Conference 2018 By Chief Minister of Penang

The official ceremony and press conference to announce the Women in Economy Conference 2018 by the Penang Chief Minister was a boisterous affair and saw the presence of some 30 media personnel trying to capture the special moments of the event through their lens. There was much interest in the coming September 24 – 25 WIE Conference from the press and invited guests.
